Environ launches cycle recycling project

14th October: Environ, Leicestershire’s environmental charity, has launched a new recycling project, Bikes4All. Bikes will be sourced from the city’s refuse tips and be refurbished by members of Leicester’s refugee community who will be working towards a City and Guilds qualification in bicycle maintenance. Each machine will carry a small plaque with details of who did the work in an effort to break down barriers between communities. The scheme is the brainchild of Project Manager Tim Hudson, tel: 0116 2460048 email: thudson@environ.org.uk
