Sustrans seeks volunteer rangers for National Cycle Network

20th September: Sustrans, the sustainable transport charity, announced today that it is looking to recruit local Volunteer Rangers to help maintain and promote various local routes of the National Cycle Network. With the Network covering over 8,000 miles in the UK and due to extend to 10,000 miles by 2005, there is a growing need for more Volunteer Rangers throughout many parts of the UK. Finsbury Park to be ‘cycle capital’ of London

21st September 2004: Finsbury Park will soon be home to central London’s largest cycle parking facility as the next phase of the Finsbury Park Transport Interchange (FPTI); project starts. Following the commitment made by the Mayor during his visit earlier this year, construction of a state of the art cycle park begins this week with facilities expected to open to cyclists in March 2005, said Transport for London.
