Cycling England launched by transport minister
10/03/2005 NewsToday at the Lifecycle UK conference on cycling and social inclusion Charlotte Atkins MP, minister for local transport, launched Cycling England.
This is the body taking the place of the National Cycling Strategy Board. It will plan and co-ordinate the development of cycling across the country as well as the new National Standard for Cycle Training.
Cycling England will have a budget of at least £5m a year for the next three years to allocate to cycling programmes.
